Bed, Snow, Being Clear

A bit tired today, Colin was up in the night, coughing and crying because he couldn't sleep. It's ironic because we got a new bed yesterday and the matress is so cozy it is like being in a cloud! (check out http://www.harrisonbeds.co.uk/ - we got the Rapture).

1. So today I am grateful for our new bed!!!

2. Also, it has been snowing on and off for two days. It is the most snow in this section of England for 10 years (though is only a few inches)! I am grateful for the beauty of it and the stillness that it brings to our lives.

3. Today is a day which is uninterrupted by details and I love it. No pre-school to shuttle Colin off to, no one is scheduled to drop by, and the weekend is upon us. I feel clearer today, and that I can and do the things that I want to do, without a struggle. This feeling is relflected by the feeling that I get from snow: it covers up all of the nagging details of our landscape and creates something fresh and serene, a pause in the normal pace of life. Hooray for Chill-Out days!!!
